IFIC receives more than 5,000 applications and €2.7 billion in requested investment

Banco Português de Fomento and Recuperar Portugal registered strong demand from Companies across the four IFIC calls, totalling 5,057 applications and €2.7 billion in requested investment.

A figure that is nearly three times the allocated budget of €932 million for this instrument.

The evaluation period now begins: 40 working days for merit assessment, followed by 10 working days for the final decision and two working days for contracting.

To ensure that these projects move forward, BPF will mobilise the support of Commercial Banks to provide a BPF-IFIC Guarantee for the external financing portion of the projects.
