BPF Gathered Leaders in Lisbon to Discuss Europe’s Technological Future and AI Gigafactory in Portugal
. 2025-10-10On October 6, Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) hosted a new working meeting with the National Consortium for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Gigafactory at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, bringing together representatives from more than 60 entities in what could be the largest foreign direct investment in the last decade in Portugal.
The event counted with the participation of BPF CEO Gonçalo Regalado, Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion Manuel Castro Almeida, Minister of State and Finance Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, Deputy Minister for State Reform Gonçalo Saraiva Matias, Secretary of State for the Economy João Rui Ferreira, and Secretary of State for Planning and Regional Development Hélder Reis.
