BPF Brings the fi-compass Innovation Award to Portugal

At FI Campus 2025, Banco Português de Fomento won, for the first time for Portugal, the fi-compass Showcase 2025 Innovation Award, in a competition that showcased successful financial instruments from various European countries.

Representing BPF, Abel Mascarenhas, Coordinating Director for Housing, Helena Peres, Coordinating Director for Institutional and Regulatory Relations, and Hugo Cardoso, Coordinating Director for Public Investment, presented the "Capitalizar Mais Guarantee Line”, which, with an allocation of €1.6 billion and a multiplier effect of over eight times, stood out as an innovative financial instrument.

FI Campus 2025 took place in Brussels from November 25 to 27 and was organized by the European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB), marking this year the 10th anniversary of fi-compass.
