BPF and Eximbanka sign agreement to strengthen cooperation and export opportunities

Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) and EXIMBANKA SR, Slovakia’s Export Credit Agency, signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a strategic partnership to create new export opportunities and support the internationalisation of companies from both countries. 

 

Luís Guimarães, Chief Commercial Officer of BPF, underlined: "The signing of this Memorandum strengthens the future positioning of both institutions as export credit agencies”. 

 

"Cooperation with BPF will enable the deepening of economic relations between our countries”, said Rastislav Podhorec, MBA, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EXIMBANKA SR. 

 

The agreement was formalised during an official visit by the Slovak delegation to BPF and is aligned with the role that BPF will assume from this year onwards as Portugal’s Export Credit Agency, responsible for managing export credit insurance.
